Bagan (Locate in Myanmar)
Bagan Where the main tourist destination. The capital of the First Myanmar Empire richest archaeological sites in south-east Asia. Bagan is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Pagan Kingdom, the first kingdom that unified the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the Kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10000 Buddist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.
The living legacy left in Bagan, Myanmar (formerly Burma) was visible for miles when I entered the Bagan Archeological Zone, a region of the country with more than 2200 temples and stupas remaining; the earliest of these structures date back to the beginning of the 11th century. As my family and I traveled through Myanmar, luck was with us that our visit aligned with our friend's family travels in Myanmar as well. They offered us the chance to travel with them on their pilgrimage to Bagan's holy temples.
The landscape of Bagan is looking beautiful and cover in stands palm and tamarind caught in a bend of the lazy-flowing Irrawaddy river and framed by the hazy silver-grey of distant mountains. Rising from the plain's canopy of green are temples, dozens of them, hundreds of them, otherworldly silhouettes that were built by the ancient's king.
So Bagan is where to enjoy the nature and culture of Myanmar. There are a lot of places to try Myanmar foods, Totti juice, Taking air balloon love the Bangan and enjoy the beauty. Especially the sunset/sunrise is very attractive for me.
I would like to recommend visiting Bagan in the winter season.
